Weatherproof or waterproof LCD enclosures are designed to offer protection for two markets, either commercial or the domestic market.
A commercial weatherproof LCD enclosure is a product that can be used in either un-manned areas or areas that are prone to heavy rain, as these offer protection form the rain, snow and sleet.
These units will accommodate the display and a small factor PC or thin client; these are predominantly used in the digital signage industry. They also offer protection from theft and vandalism, due to the robust construction and anti vandal viewing window
A domestic unit is manufactured from the same material however it does not have the facility to accommodate a small computer, as a home will more than likely be using the enclosure so they can watch the TV outdoors.
